[Rimworld Beginner Tutorial] Making Pemmican

Pemmican is an incredibly valuable food source in RimWorld, especially for tribal starts or for long-distance caravan journeys. It's a preserved food that won't spoil, making it ideal for stockpiling.

**What You Need:**

To create pemmican, you'll need two main ingredients:

* **Meat:** Any type of raw meat will work.

* **Vegetables:** Any raw vegetable.

**The Process:**

1.  **Research:** Pemmican production must be researched first, unless you've started as a Lost Tribe, in which case the research is already complete.

2.  **Butchering:** Just like with any cooked meat, you'll need to butcher animals to get the raw meat. This can be done at a Butcher Spot or a Butcher Table.

3.  **Cooking Station:** Pemmican is made at a cooking station, either a campfire in the early game or a cooking stove later on.

4.  **Set the Bill:** Go to the "Bills" tab on your chosen cooking station and set up a bill to "Make Pemmican." Your colonists will then combine the meat and vegetables to produce the pemmican.

**Why Pemmican is so Great:**

* **Longevity:** Pemmican has a very long shelf life and doesn't require refrigeration, making it the perfect food for caravans or for storing as an emergency supply.

* **Efficiency:** It's more nutritious than simple meals and a highly efficient way to use both your meat and vegetable stores.

* **Versatility:** Both humans and animals can eat it, which simplifies food management for your colony.
